iPhone XS Beats the iPhone 11 Pro

iPhone XS Beats the iPhone 11 Pro by 28 Seconds; It’s Possible the Problems Can Be Eliminated With Another Software Update

App launch speed tests are all the craze these days on YouTube and this one isn’t different, except for the fact that we have a new device. Heading over to the channel EverythingApplePro, the iPhone 11 Pro speed test pits Apple’s latest device against last year’s iPhone XS as well as the iPhone X. To recap on how these tests work, a series of apps categorized under productivity, entertainment, and gaming are opened in quick succession. The first round of ‘quick app firing’ tests the raw performance of the device, while the second round reveals how many of those apps can be retained in the phone’s memory, or RAM.

The more apps that are running in the background, the easier it will be for the device in question to breeze through the test. However, the results of the latest iPhone 11 Pro speed test might perplex the reader, but we’ll explain all that, so bear with us. In the first round, the latest model managed to gain a meager 1-second lead over the iPhone XS. Disappointingly, in the second round, only the iPhone XS managed to keep the majority of apps running in its memory.

The final results of the iPhone 11 Pro speed test are as follows:

  • iPhone 11 Pro: Finished in 5 minutes and 49 seconds
  • iPhone XS: Finished in 5 minutes and 21 seconds
  • iPhone X: Finished in 7 minutes and 27 seconds

Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro shares the same 4GB RAM count as last year’s iPhone XS, so why didn’t it obtain a lead against a device launched last year? The problem could be isolated to Apple’s latest iOS 13 update. Hopefully, when iOS 13.1 arrives, it will address the bugs and problems, meaning that a fresh iPhone 11 Pro speed test might provide very different results. Additionally, 9to5Mac noticed that the iPhone 11’s camera app, which was also used in the speed test, could use more memory than earlier versions, which could be the reason why the iPhone 11 Pro obtained second place.
